The engineering study programme: International Master of Horticulture Science (IMHS) is an accredited joint study programme implemented by the Faculty of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, SUA in Nitra, the Faculty of Biotechnology and Horticulture of the University of Agriculture in Krakow (Poland) and the Faculty of Horticulture of the Mendel University in Brno (Czech Republic). The graduate will be awarded the academic title Master of Science (abbreviated as MSc.). All three cooperating universities will issue documents on completion of studies (diploma and diploma supplement). The graduate acquires comprehensive knowledge of horticultural production. He/she masters new cultivation technologies in vegetable growing, floriculture, fruit growing and viticulture, including integrated and ecological systems of fruit, vegetable, grape and wine production with an emphasis on the quality of raw material production and subsequent post-harvest processing and storage. He/she controls the process of grape processing and wine production with an emphasis on high quality appellation wines. Following on the graduate is able to independently solve problems in the field of research in line with the requirements of the institution, knows how to manage the production and sales process, enter into joint projects at the level of EU requirements. Manages the production and marketing process at a high professional level.

GRADUATE'S EMPLOYABILITY
As a specialist in all forms of horticultural production and subsequent processing units, in marketing, in trade, in research and breeding, in the testing rooms of the Central Control Testing Institute of Agriculture, as well as a manager of horticultural centres, greenhouses, a designer of orchards, vineyards and nurseries. He/she finds employment as the main cellar technologist in small, medium and large wineries. Provides consultancy for horticultural production, acts as a consultant for the establishment and operation of fruit orchards, vineyards, cellar farming, vegetable plantations and fruit and viticulture nurseries. The graduate finds employment in the private sector, in education, in state administration, etc. along with the possibility to continue studies at the 3rd level of university education.
Applicant must submit the E-application form to study at SUA through the university’s designated portal or send the completed form via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs of the respective faculty or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs
The sum of the fee depends on the specific faculty and study program and it varies between 30 EUR and 65 EUR
The proof of the payment has to be sent via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty.
Applicants must submit a copy of their undergraduate diploma and a transcript of records from their previous university studies.

Similar to the bachelor’s process, the applicant must submit a completed application form, passport scan and proof of payment for the application fee. Documents must also be notarized, translated, and sent to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty
Applicants must participate in an online interview as part of the admission process, which will assess the applicant’s qualifications and English proficiency. Depending on the program type, some applicants may also be required to take an English proficiency test.
The final admission decision will be based on the recognition of the previous education, successful online interview, and the university’s assessment of the applicant’s qualifications.
