Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Science

focuses on knowledge in the field of biological, chemical and technological sciences, on top biotechnologies, modern methods of food production and processing, on their quality and safety.

Main mission is the education and training of qualified experts oriented towards cognition and mastery of the latest knowledge of biological, chemical and technological sciences, with an emphasis on modern methods of production, evaluation and processing of food and specific products of biotechnology. From the point of view of targeted, effective and compatible scientific research activity the faculty focuses on the field of current genomics programmes, modern biotechnologies, food quality and safety. Its main goal is to achieve the biological and technological integrity of the “agricultural product – food" system.
