A graduate is a versatile specialist capable of designing advanced production systems that meet strict energy and environmental standards. They create control elements, develop custom automation programs, and apply Industry 4.0 principles across engineering sectors. With strong analytical, programming, and design skills, they can implement complete automation solutions—from machine components to full production lines. Their ability to critically evaluate technical challenges, present professional results, and work independently or in team‑leading roles makes them fully prepared for modern industrial practice and competitive positions on the global labour market.

General Information about Admission Procedure

BASIC ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The fundamental requirements for admission to a second-cycle study program are:

  • Attainment of first-cycle (Bachelor's) or second-cycle (Master's) higher education, provided that the total number of credits obtained from previous higher education and the number of credits required to complete the second-cycle program for which the applicant is applying equals at least 300 credits.

ADDITIONAL ADMISSION CONDITIONS

Additional conditions for admission to a second-cycle study program:

  • An applicant may specify only one study program from the list of programs offered for the 2026/2027 academic year on a single application.

GENERAL INFORMATION ON THE ADMISSION PROCESS

Applicants for the Information and Management Systems in Production Engineering study program who have successfully completed their Bachelor's degree studies will be admitted based on their academic performance during the first cycle of higher education and their results in the Final State Examination.

Applicants for the Information and Management Systems in Production Engineering study program will be ranked based on points obtained according to the admission criteria. The condition for admission to second-cycle (Master’s) studies is obtaining a minimum of 20 points based on the evaluation criteria for second-cycle applicants.

Decision on the Result of the Admission Procedure

  • after the entrance procedure, the applicant shall receive a decision on the outcome of the admission process within 30 days of verification of fulfilment of the admission conditions. An applicant who has not met a condition (e.g., the school-leaving examination) at the time of the admission committee meeting may be conditionally admitted.
  • an applicant who is admitted to a study program is obliged to inform the faculty whether they will enroll in the study program, following the instructions provided in writing together with the admission decision (the e-return form is part of the decision).

Information for International Applicants

International applicants shall generate a recognition statement via the following link: https://uznavanie.minedu.sk/recognition-statement/ in the section “Statement on the Recognition of the Level of Education".

International applicants (with the exception of applicants from the Czech Republic and applicants who passed the school-leaving examination in the Slovak language) applying for a study program provided by the SUA in Nitra in the Slovak language are required to complete an online test and an online oral interview to determine their level of proficiency in the Slovak language. The testing is administered by the Language Centre of the SUA in Nitra (https://cj.uniag.sk/sk/domov/) in two sessions, about which applicants will be informed in advance.

Following the language examination, the applicant will be issued a certificate of the aggregate result of the online test and online interview, corresponding to the language levels of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The test and the certificate are subject to a fee of €30. If the applicant's language proficiency level is lower than A1, the applicant will not be admitted to the study program. If the applicant's language proficiency level is A1, the applicant has met one of the admission conditions; however, they are obligated to complete a 30-hour paid Slovak language course organized by the Language Centre of the SUA in Nitra (course fee: €120). The course will take place from August 24, 2026, to September 4, 2026. Upon completion of the course, the applicant will be issued a certificate of completion. If the applicant's language proficiency level is A2 or higher, the applicant has met one of the conditions for admission.

Detailed information regarding the test and the course will be available on the Language Centre website (https://cj.uniag.sk/sk/domov/).
