The study program prepares experts for comprehensive food safety management throughout the food chain. It focuses on microbiological, chemical, toxicological, and sensory control of food, risk assessment, traceability, crisis management, and the application of EU and Slovak food legislation. Students gain practical skills in food authentication, sampling and analysis, auditing, accreditation, and ISO, BRC, and IFS systems. Graduates are prepared to lead food safety teams, communicate risks, and apply food safety culture in practice.

GRADUATE'S EMPLOYABILITY
Graduates find employment in food companies in food safety teams, in company laboratories, and in the areas of management, control, and internal and external audits. They will find employment in state and private laboratories focused on food control and safety, as well as specialists in hygienic, chemical, microbiological, and mycological control in accordance with Slovak and EU legislation. They can work in advisory and consulting services, accreditation systems, legislation and risk management in the food industry, distribution, trade and public catering. They can be employed in the implementation and management of ISO 22000, BRC and IFS standards, as inspectors of veterinary and food authorities, in public health offices, in education, in state and foreign institutions, and in cooperation with European control and scientific bodies.
Applicant must submit the E-application form to study at SUA through the university’s designated portal or send the completed form via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs of the respective faculty or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs
The sum of the fee depends on the specific faculty and study program and it varies between 30 EUR and 65 EUR
The proof of the payment has to be sent via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty.
Applicants must submit a copy of their undergraduate diploma and a transcript of records from their previous university studies.

Similar to the bachelor’s process, the applicant must submit a completed application form, passport scan and proof of payment for the application fee. Documents must also be notarized, translated, and sent to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty
Applicants must participate in an online interview as part of the admission process, which will assess the applicant’s qualifications and English proficiency. Depending on the program type, some applicants may also be required to take an English proficiency test.
The final admission decision will be based on the recognition of the previous education, successful online interview, and the university’s assessment of the applicant’s qualifications.
