The study programme Precision Agriculture and Forestry is an interdisciplinary programme developed in cooperation with the Technical University in Zvolen, integrating expertise in agriculture, forestry, mechanical engineering, and information technologies. It is focused on the education of professionals capable of managing agricultural and forestry enterprises through intelligent tools of precision management.

Emphasis is placed on geoinformatics, the acquisition, processing, and analysis of geospatial data, and their application in spatial decision-making and the optimisation of production processes. The programme combines knowledge from photogrammetry, remote sensing, sensor systems, and unmanned technologies with the principles of sustainable management of natural resources.

It responds to the challenges of climate change, biodiversity conservation, and the need to increase production efficiency while reducing environmental impacts. Graduates are prepared to apply precise digital technologies in the planning, modelling, and management of agricultural and forestry production.

GRADUATE'S EMPLOYABILITY

Graduates of the study programme Precision Agriculture and Forestry find employment in professional and specialised positions focused on the digital and intelligent management of agricultural and forestry production. Typical career paths include positions such as precision agriculture specialist, GIS specialist, remote sensing expert, sensor and drone technology specialist, geospatial data analyst, specialist in technical development in forestry, or forest property management specialist. A newly emerging occupation in this field is that of a specialist in digitalisation in agriculture and forestry.

Graduates are employed in agricultural and forestry enterprises, technology and consultancy companies, public administration, research institutions, and organisations focused on the sustainable management of natural resources.
