The Regional Development and Policies of the European Union study program prepares experts capable of analyzing and solving complex socio-economic challenges in regions. Graduates gain knowledge about the creation and implementation of development strategies, projects and programs, legislation, EU economic policies, and the principles of sustainable development. They master the tools of digital analysis, investment evaluation, and social innovation. The program develops the ability to solve problems independently, lead teams, communicate with various actors, and provide expert recommendations for public administration, local government, and EU institutions. Graduates find employment as managers, experts, or consultants in regional development.

GRADUATE'S EMPLOYABILITY

Graduates of the Regional Development and Policies of the European Union study program are able to analyze and interpret socio-economic processes, identify key issues in regional development, and design, implement, and manage the process of creating and implementing programs and projects. They are able to develop sustainable development strategies for regions and municipalities and are familiar with the tools for their practical implementation. They are able to make independent decisions, but also work in a team as a manager or
specialist in the field of regional development, public administration, and EU policy implementation.
Graduates are qualified to work as managers of departments and sections of public administration in the Slovak Republic, as well as specialists in EU institutions. They can also apply their knowledge in entities dealing with regional and local development, including non-profit organizations. They are able to manage entities established by local government, including municipal and social enterprises. Graduates can carry out independent business activities focusing on consulting in the area of financial support schemes for local government, businesses, and households.

II. LEVEL OF STUDY (ENGINEERING)

Application Form Submission

Applicant must submit the E-application form to study at SUA through the university’s designated portal or send the completed form via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs of the respective faculty or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs

 

Payment of the fee for admission procedure

 The sum of the fee depends on the specific faculty and study program and it varies between 30 EUR and 65 EUR

The proof of the payment has to be sent via email to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty.

Recognition of University Education Documents

Applicants must submit a copy of their undergraduate diploma and a transcript of records from their previous university studies.

Additional requirements

– Transcript of Records or Diploma Supplement fot the I. level of study is required, which provides a detailed overview of the applicant’s previous academic performance. Transcript of Rrecords or Diploma Supplement for the I. level of study

Other Documentation

Similar to the bachelor’s process, the applicant must submit a completed application formpassport scan and proof of payment for the application fee. Documents must also be notarized, translated, and sent to the Vice-Dean for International Affairs or the Contact Person for Foreign Affairs of the respective faculty

Online Interview

Applicants must participate in an online interview as part of the admission process, which will assess the applicant’s qualifications and English proficiency. Depending on the program type, some applicants may also be required to take an English proficiency test.

Final Admission

The final admission decision will be based on the recognition of the previous education, successful online interview, and the university’s assessment of the applicant’s qualifications.
