1. The admission procedure for all bachelor’s study programs is conducted in the form of written tests
in two elective subjects. Applicants may choose from three subjects: Economics, a foreign (world)
language, or Mathematics. Questions for the entrance examinations in each subject are made
available to applicants in the form of study materials entitled: Requirements for the Entrance
Examination in Mathematics at SUA Nitra, Requirements for the Entrance Examination in Foreign
Languages at SUA Nitra, and Requirements for the Entrance Examination in Economics at SUA Nitra.
These materials are accessible to all applicants and can be purchased at the SUA Publishing and
Editorial Centre in Nitra (phone: +421/37/641 4227, online store: vydavatelstvo.uniag.sk). The
recording of applicants, test results, and overall results of the entrance examination are managed
using modern information technologies. For each student, a unique test is generated from a task
database via computer, which is automatically evaluated upon submission without human
intervention. The points obtained for individual tests will be published on the faculty’s website
within 24 hours. Applicants will be given access to their results based on their assigned registration
number. The maximum score for each test is 80 points. The decisive criterion for selecting students
for 1st level (bachelor’s) study is the total number of points achieved in both tests.
2. The results of the secondary school leaving examination are not included in the total score.
Foreign Language: The following world languages are available for selection: English, German,
Russian. When evaluating the results of the entrance examination, a state language examination, either professional or general (not school leaving examination)-may be recognized in place of
the foreign language subject, with the following scoring: professional state language exam: Grade
1 – 80 points, Grade 2 – 72 points, Grade 3 – 60 points, basic state language exam: Grade 1 – 72
points, Grade 2 – 64 points, Grade 3 – 52 points. Other language certificates obtained at language
schools accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic or abroad are also
recognized, provided that the certificate explicitly indicates the achieved level of proficiency (B2,
C1, C2), the final evaluation, and includes both written and oral components. Applicants will have
the option to choose between having the above evaluation of the relevant language exam
recognized or taking the written test in the foreign language.
3. The entrance examination may be waived, and applicants shall be admitted to study if they meet
the following criteria:
• applicant whose grade point average is equal to or lower than 1.7 (calculated from the final
report for the 1st–3rd year and the mid-year report of the 4th year of secondary school, or
alternatively from the final report for the 1st–4th year and the mid-year report of the 5th
year of secondary school),
• applicant who placed among the top three positions in the regional or national round of the
Economic Olympics,
4. The entrance examination may be waived, and applicants shall be admitted who achieve a
percentile score of 50 or higher in the basic version of the General Study Aptitude Test (VSP). The weights of all sections of the VSP test are equal. The test may be taken as part of the National
Comparative Examinations (NPS), which are administered by Scio in several cities in Slovakia and
the Czech Republic. The VSP test may be taken multiple times, and the best result achieved will be
considered for the applicant.
The testing dates, sample tests, and conditions for registration are published at:
http://www.scio.sk/nsz/. The faculty considers the results of both the Slovak version of the test
(VSP Z) and the Czech version (OSP Z). Applicants may choose which language version they wish to
take.
Registration for the VSP test and the payment of any associated fees are the responsibility of each
applicant (registration form at http://scio.sk/in/2vs/nsz/prihlaska.asp). The faculty does not organize these tests, nor does it register applicants or invite them to take the test. An applicant
who registers properly for the VSP test will receive an exam invitation by email from Scio approximately 10 days before the test.
5. All applicants who submit an application and meet at least one of the conditions for waiving the
entrance examination shall be conditionally admitted to study (without entrance examination).
For this reason, applicants who take the secondary school leaving examination in the current school year must additionally submit their examination results.
International applicants shall create the endorsement via the following link: https://uznavanie.minedu.sk/recognition-statement/ in the section “Endorsement for Recognition of the Level of Education”.
International applicants (with the exception of applicants from the Czech Republic and those who completed the secondary school leaving examination in Slovak language) who apply for a study program offered at SUA Nitra in Slovak language are required to take an online test and an online oral interview designed to assess their proficiency in the Slovak language. The testing is administered by the Language Centre of SUA Nitra (https://cj.uniag.sk/sk/domov/) in two dates about which applicants will be informed in advance.
After completing the language examination, the applicant will be issued a certificate summarizing the results of the online test and online interview, which will correspond to the language level according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). The test and certificate are subject to a fee of €30. If the applicant’s language proficiency level is below A1, they will not be admitted to the study program.
If the applicant’s language proficiency level is A1, they have met one of the conditions for admission but are required to complete a 30-hour paid Slovak language course organized by the Language Centre of SUA Nitra (course fee: €120). Upon completion of the course, the applicant will receive a certificate of completion. If the applicant’s language proficiency level is A2 or higher, they have met one of the conditions for admission. Detailed information about the test and the course will be available on the website of the Language Centre (https://cj.uniag.sk/sk/domov/).
In addition to demonstrating language proficiency, international applicants for bachelor’s study in Slovak will be admitted based on their performance in the basic version of the General Study Aptitude Test (VSP) or the General Academic Prerequisites (GAP) test, achieving a percentile score of 50 or higher.
The test is administered by Scio, including online. The GAP test may be taken multiple times, and the best result achieved will be considered for the applicant. Testing dates, sample tests, and registration conditions are published at http://www.scio.sk/nsz/. Registration for the GAP test and the payment of any associated fees are the responsibility of each applicant (registration form at http://scio.sk/in/2vs/nsz/prihlaska.asp).
